ChinaHaul uses your email address to verify your account and let you download free guides. You can read articles and city pages without an account.

What we store

We store your email, verified account status, account creation time and session records. If you send a help or data request, we store its type, message and submission time. We record PDF download requests with the city, time and referring page or campaign source so we can understand which guides people want.

Session records can include an IP address and browser information for authentication and abuse prevention. Sign-in codes expire and are stored in hashed form.

Optional updates

Signing in does not subscribe you to marketing emails. You can separately choose guide updates and change that preference on your account page.

Cookies and storage

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. Browser session storage remembers campaign tags for download attribution during your visit. We do not use advertising cookies.

Service providers

The site, account data and private PDF files are hosted on Cloudflare. Verification emails use the configured transactional email service. Providers may process information in countries other than your own.

Access and deletion

Use the help form in your account to request a copy of your data or deletion of your account. Requests are reviewed by the site operator. We retain account and download records until deletion or until they are no longer needed for the service. We do not sell email addresses.
